OK, what is the unequivocal BEST (highest yielding) method for producing MDP2P from safrole? Below is a list of a few to choose from:

1. Safrole -> isosafrole -> MDP2P (Shulgin, #109)
2. Safrole -> saf. HSO4 -> MDP2Pol -> MDP2P (recipe under Hive's home page)
3. SRV/KRV (Spiceboy/KrZ)
Are there others? After using 'best' to mean highest yielding, which is also 'best' for a somewhat-experienced-but-not-with-MDMA chemist in terms of being easy? What about most cost-effective? Assume reaction time is of no great concern. I need to know how I can put my 3 oz. of sassy oil to a better use than aromatherapy.

Wacker using alkene, O2, PdCl2 or PdCl2-NaCl, CuCl or CuCl2, H2O in DMF as solvent.

Takes 24 hours to complete, but it will work the first time around and then on -- unless you're an idiot.

After a bit more experience, you can graduate to other variations of this reaction such as that using the SRV or KRV.
